The Galbreath genealogy is my least studied, so not a whole lot is known about this line of the family. However, a member of my church has declared we are cousins via this line. My best record is of a Galbreath in York, Pennsylvania, in the 1700s. However, this is not shown in my family tree.
From Pennsylvania, they migrated into Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas and into Oklahoma. There is an Isenhour in Kansas, which I think is most likely related to D. D. Eisenhower, who came from Kansas. Yet to be proven. The name Gilmore comes from this line, and I have not yet found out exactly how this is related, but feel certain that it comes from the Lashbrook family line. I worked with a Nate Galbreath when living in Martinsville, VA. When I contacted him in a nursing home a few years back, he confirmed that it was very likely that we were related, as his genealogy goes back to Pennsylvania as well. This is just another example of how not being aware of genealogy creates missed
opportunities to further knowledge about your family tree.
